Thriving Beyond the City: How Local Nurses Are Reshaping Regional Beauty Services
Featured in Vogue Australia: How regional nurses are redefining aesthetic expectations through clinical care, restraint, and an assessment-first ethos.
I started ANO in 2018 with one bed in a rented room in Shepparton. I didn't set out to court metropolitan fashion titles — I set out to build the standard of clinical aesthetic care I wished existed in regional Victoria.
When Vogue Australia came calling to cover how regional registered nurses are reshaping the aesthetic landscape, it was validation that quality, safety and clinical integrity speak louder than a capital city postcode.
Great aesthetic care doesn't belong to capital cities. It belongs to anyone who wants to feel confident in their skin.

The feature spotlighted ANO's commitment to skin-first assessment, barrier repair before cosmetic intervention, and the deliberate restraint that defines our work. In regional communities, clients aren't chasing fleeting trends — they want trusted, qualified practitioners who see them over years, not just single appointments.
For our team of eight seeing up to 150 clients a week, Vogue's recognition reinforced everything we teach: build an enterprise grounded in deep clinical standards, and the wider world will take notice.
